The Women’s Center relies on the generosity of our community to provide daily meals for our guests. Please note that all meals must be prepared off-site and brought to the center ready to serve.
⚠️ Critical Requirements
- Off-Site Preparation: We do not have a full kitchen or food supplies available onsite. You are responsible for providing the full meal (ingredients and cooking).
- Ready to Serve: We do not have facilities to cook or heat large meals. However, we do have microwaves available and welcome volunteers to bring their own crockpots to keep food warm during service.
- Timing: Dinner is served from 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Please arrive by 5:30 PM to set up your serving station.
- Volume: Prepare for 40 guests.
Service Options
- Drop-Off Only: If you are providing single-serve items (e.g. bagged meals or pre-packaged sandwiches), you may stay to serve or drop them off at reception. If you choose to drop off, please note that in your sign-up.
- Full Service (Encouraged): If you are providing a "family-style" meal (e.g., casseroles, pasta, or chili), please stay to help serve our guests and assist with cleaning the serving area afterward.
Menu & Supply Suggestions
- Hot Meals: Casseroles with salad, Taco Tuesday, Fried Chicken, Spaghetti, or Chili.
- Cold/Bagged Meals: Sandwiches, carrots or chips, applesauce or a cookie, and a drink.
- Supplies: If you are able, providing paper plates, cups, bowls, and plastic cutlery helps tremendously!
Commitment & Cancellations
Our guests depend on these meals daily. If you sign up, please ensure you can honor your commitment. If an emergency arises, we require at least 48 hours' notice.
- For less than 48 hours cancellation, notify by Cancel via Call/Text: (984) 383-6071
